Our eight-night voyage around the Iberian Peninsula, from Lisbon to Barcelona, offers glimpses of the past and future in equal measure. Departing the old-world cobbled streets of Lisbon, we sail first to the Algarve to relax on the beautiful beaches of one of today's favorite seaside resorts, Portimão. Crossing the border to Spain, one of Europe's oldest cities, Cadiz, comes into view and the point is made about how close we are to the continent of Africa with a hop across the water to Tangier in Morocco. Sailing on to Málaga, there's time to see modern masterpieces by Picasso in the museum in his name. A day at sea heralds arrival in Valencia, a city renowned for its futuristic architecture, before our voyage concludes in Barcelona.
